There But For the Grace of God, Go I

We are being led into the abyss by history's largest parade of arrogant jackasses. They never stop to question their own assumptions because that would require them to examine their dubious role in the entire globalized pyramid scheme...

I am of course referring to not just the millionaires and billionaires at the very top, but also the self-nominated "management class" who essentially carry out the corporate executions of the ultra-wealthy rentier class.

Born on Third Base
This arrogance is deeply entrenched. The gap between what these people know and what they think they know is now at chasmic proportions. Too much partying at the frathouse made their brains soft and weak. They turned college into a socializing experience versus a profound learning experience. For them it was always just about getting the piece of paper in hand to tell everyone they were one notch superior than everyone else. Unfortunately, they are experts at pretending to know more than they really know. They have fooled not only themselves but everyone around them. They are incapable of seeing the bubble that they have created because that would require them to question the underlying assumptions and their role in society i.e. at the top. They look up with envy and down with disgust. To them, people of lower socioeconomic status deserve their plight and have no use beyond mowing the lawn and otherwise providing low cost labour to bolster company profits. Sure there are the mathematically dunced and delusional limousine liberals with their "let them eat cake" mentality, but of course that is just another thinly veiled form of arrogance.

A Sterile Culture, Devoid of Character or Humanity
These people are easily spotted and should be assiduously avoided in daily life due to their soul crushing self-absorption. These are not people the least bit clued in to how the rest of the world lives, nor do they care. Their world begins and ends at the edge of their sterile bubble. They created the Matrix and have no interest in knowing what things would be like if someone pulled the fucking plug. Unfortunately of course, they dominate positions of leadership, so we are literally overwhelmed by their alchemy and dunced decision-making. Worse yet, they are pathological pretenders who really have no idea of the depth of their disconnect from reality. That puts us all in the extreme peril we find ourselves in today. Their assumption that the status quo is infinitely sustainable - because it works for them - gives them a massive blind spot to the various obvious factors mounting in the background. These people have knowledge that is a mile wide and an inch deep, so judgement and insight is totally missing in action. They see a graph of ever-mounting foodstamp usage and they assume that the "indolents" are exhanging foodstamps for crack cocaine. They are angered by a statistic indicating that 47% of people pay no taxes and they never make the connection to the fact that 47% of people have no fucking income. They also don't make the connection back to the slew of people they just laid off last week.

More is Never Enough
I have finally come to realize that these people really don't get it. Their infatuation with small talk has left them intellectually stunted. They don't know what they don't know. Non-stop posing and pretending has permanently disconnected them from reality. The day-to-day survivor gauntlet that most working people face and that requires daily hard decisions around budget conservation - is a million miles away from the yuppy class. These people have an insatiable appetite for more wealth and materialism. As long as Tesla shares are soaring and 401k balances are rising due to an artificially inflated Dow, then all is well in the world. The worst part about Bernankenstein's asset levitation program is that it has given these arrogant morons license to continue business as usual with dismantling the real economy. It's all just overwhelming hubris for people who think that the rules of reality and history do not apply to them.

On the Turning Away
Ultimately these arrogant frathouse pricks need to be taken down a few dozen notches. Their prancing around pretending to know the impossible, is going to take us all down the abyss with them. We could never expect them to admit that they really have no fucking clue what they are talking about and that everything they believe is predicated upon false assumptions. Fortunately, they are all about to get trucked by the freight train called reality which will take them down a few notches, and then some. Of course the title to this blog post refers to a personal philosophy that could have avoided this fiasco entirely had it been adopted. But it requires a level of humility that is null and void within the yuppy set. Ironically, their abject lack of concern for the rest of humanity is their ultimate blind spot given the overwhelming indications that the fantasy is ending - and indeed that it never even existed for the majority on the planet. Therefore they will be caught highly unprepared when the inevitable reset occurs. At which point, I strongly doubt there will be enough Prozac in existence to go around...

Then There Were None
A third and last bubble aimed squarely at the yuppy class, which is why you never hear about it in the lamestream media - no one ever predicts their own demise. The prior two bubbles were about jettisoning everyone else.

No one sees it coming: Yuppy extinction:
